Informing about dropping????

I dropped a class from my second semester schedule today. The second semester doesn’t start for another two weeks. Do I have to inform colleges I applied to? Will they care if the list of classes I gave them is different now?

you can probably just tell your conselor to write it in your mid year report

how much would that affect admission?

If you drop it before the mid year report gets sent out, then it will be like you never even took the course, HOWEVER, there will be an inconsistancy with your application if it requests your senior year courses and you've already sent the app. in. To be totally honest, I don't know how admissions officers would see this, but they generally like to see 4-5 academic courses in your senior year.

As long as it is not a course that is required or recommended for admission you should be okay.

My counselor said colleges like you to write them a letter....

Yeah I also made a minor change to my schedule, I replaced a elective with another...how should I inform the college of the change?

id talk to your guidance couneslor, they'll know the policy for a particular school much more than we on CC will.

The class was Advanced Computer Applications. It's an elective and I'll still be taking 3 AP classes. Is it that big of a deal?

as long as you dont switch from all honors to all reg,you shouldnt have to tell b/c its an elective, if it was academic then they wou,d want notification
