Innocent ACT score question

so for someone with not a GREAT gpa but still in top ten percent of class (in this case, 3.7 UW) and middle of the road EC’s compared most Brown Applicants

would a 2200 SAT and/or a 33 ACT make them a competitive candidate for admission?

I think Brown tends to place a higher emphasis on essays, talent, and character than other schools. As long as your courseload is the most rigorous available, I'd say you're just as competitive as those who are normally accepted. Good luck.

thanks man.

You're right around where most Brown applicants are, but with a slightly lower GPA.

so then ED would give me the edge necessary?

I'm sorry, I can't comment on that, as I'm a high school student just like you. I'm guessing you applied ED though?

GPA is relative. If your courseload is tough and you're in the top 10%, you're more than fine.
