@yellowbananas and @sevmom We will surely take this into account. Only thing is that my D wants to have 4 years of proper engineering college. I mean she really wants to stay at the college campus. I had broached this subject of 2 years of CC and then transfer to some good college but she wasn’t interested in that. Let’s see how this turns out to be. Thanks anyway for great advice.
Can’t speak for industrial engineering much, but all of my IE friends at cal poly love it and all have jobs lined up after college. Lots of real world projects, such as going downtown to help local businesses optimize their food processing etc for free.

@mnjkr I was referring to Cal Poly SLO in my post. Although, both schools are very good and should give you great oppertunities in the long run!
