Ok - to start the new thread off, i would like to introduce my self... i'm an international attending an internation school outside the U.S.

as far as i am concerned - although our school follows an American curriculum, i would say that our level of education is pretty high. i did not have very successive fresh/sophomore years but i'm recompensating for them this year and next year.

i'm assuming a cumulative gpa of around 3.4~3.5 (by the time i apply for college)

i haven't taken the SAT yet, but from practice tests my prediction is about 1250~1350.

EC: i have taken seriously a number of them - but for the sake of decision i will list major ones??

disaster relief in INDIA (two weeks) for Tsunami relief
Earthquake relief in TURKEY
(pure community service [in my area of residence] 10~15 hours per school year) * 4 years

i wont list school activities like sports, band...student council etc...

but having these factors and the fact that i'm a third cultured kid
lived in kenya, lived in turkey, lived in south korea

i know three languages... fluently

what would be my chances of going into top 50 unis and LAC's???

i am considering schools like johnshopkins, rice, emory, ucla, ucb, virginia, newyork university..and other schools...which schools would i have a chance of getting into...

could you specify life safety, reach..etc
thanks in advance
