Inquiry Regarding Choice Of Study

I had previously been intent on majoring in cognitive science (a compilation of fields including computer science, nuerobiology/psychobiology, engineering and philosophy). However, that will no longer be possible unless I transfer to another academic institution (my university of choice does not offer the major).

As of currently I am intent on majoring in biology and computer science to satisfy the dilemma. However, I have certain qualms with regards to the amount of rote memorization that would be required with the aforementioned combination.

I am wondering which combinations of study tend to be advocated for students that are scientific-creative types (i.e. extrapolative inquirers)? thanks again for any input ... !
