I just submitted the on - line candidate assestments. I was wondering if anyone knows when do i hear back from a rep from INROADS.

Hey if you attend Depaul, you are right down the street from the Inroads Chicago office, it's a pretty nice building. I got contacted directly from Inroads who urged me to reapply to Inroads, and I went through the process in like a week or so, and I just recently had my resume submitted to Kraft, so you should hear back fairly quick.

What are your stats?

yea i am a depaul student. I wasn't aware that Inroads was by my school... hmm gotta go check it out.

I am a freshman at depaul with 3.3 Cumulative GPA and i am asian-american. I plan to major in information assurance and security engineering. I finished the online talent pool training and the candidate assestment forms yesterday.

you should get contacted soon, they have plenty of engineering ops.

I had a 3.5 GPA etc..

hey mssales, thanks for the info, i hope i get an internship through them!

i didnt get a call back for several weeks but you will most likely hear from them within 2 weeks at the latest

How is the Inroads thing going, are you going to be at the Career Fair on the 20th of December, I am, and I also got the interview with Kraft Foods. so far everything is moving along nicely. Just gotta ace the interview, then I will expect a job offer.

there's a career fair? i have finals =/

Hey mssales, I have a question. After submitting the candidate assessment, I just had a phone interview today with the client rep for my area. I didn't do so well. I started babbling. How important is the phone interview? I'm scared. BTW, I am an Econ major. Thanks.

Inroads is defintely not a lousy organzation as some had proposed on this board. There was amazing students from all minority groups so they don't discriminate. Students from Williams, Northwestern, Georgetown etc. were at the career fair. I had a pretty good interview with Kraft, and I will be interviewing hopefully with Robert W. Baird! As to startraksfinest question. I did a in person interview, and it is very important, to do well intitally. I assume the process is the same with phone interviews.

why can't juniors apply for inroads?

the phone interview is very important. if you didn't do well, most likely they will not accept you (this is what they told me). just be confident and as stated before by mssales, be able to elaborate on your experiences.

You can apply to Inroads as a junior if you are on a five year track. Only reason they don't accept juniors is because you have to intern for two summers.

Well I guess that means that they are going to reject me. I'm going to go cry now.

General question for some of you guys, when I was interviewing with the Kraft rep yesterday, I felt the interview was going great etc. He seemed impressed. At the end of the interview he said decision would be made by the end of next month, but that if we had other offers, we could get a decision quicker. He also said that If I did, not to forget about Kraft. Then he said exactly this "Hope to see you this summer" was this he was of saying I had the job without actually telling me or was he being polite? As another note when I asked about compensation he said, "you're going to be pleased with it."

Judging by his tone (and by the way you are describing it), it seems you are set with an internship with Kraft but be sure to search for other opportunities. Otherwise, congratulations on the interview!

I was wondering if that was the case, I didn't want to misjudge, but I'm still going to interview with other companies, Kraft is a nice stepping stone though.

mssales,

A word of advice. I would strongly urge you to talk to INROADS and try and land an internship with your company of choice. Don't think of companies as a stepping stone. You might sever relationships with that company if you receive an offer to come back and you don't accept.

Sonic One, I'm actively using Inroads to seek out companies that I'm interested in working for(they have relationships with Goldman, Citi, R.W Baird and a couple others) Still Ibanking is just to hard a job to count on, so you have to have back ups.

I didnt even know INROADS had affiliations with Goldman Sachs O_o.
I'm trying diligently to get into one of the bulge bracket firms as well but a boutique firm would do just fine for me.
