Anyone else anticipating news in about 12.5 hours and thus unable to sleep?

haha yupp.

Omg Me too!!! Couldn’t sleep the whole night and I am about to get ready for school haha. But I already got into my #1 school so I don’t know y I can’t sleep. Maybe it’s because I am so excited. What school are you waiting for?

CLAS, kinesiology. you guys?

Vandy and Emory but I hope I won’t get in so I won’t take a spot away from someone who really wants to go there.

CLAS… political sci.

i havent heard anything yet… but im pretty sure its a rejection

Sorry for being stupid but what is CLAS?

college of letters, arts, sciences.

at least you guys will actually know today! I’m in spain and no one is at my house back in the states so I won’t know whether I’ve gotten an acceptance or rejection until I get back thursday.

yeah but youre in SPAIN! enjoy that

also you can check if you can login into the rsvp site to see if you got in.

The RSVP thing doesnt necessarily work. I talked to my friend who got in a week ago as a fall admit and he says he still cant RSVP

CLAS undeclared… still haven’t heard in NY!

i am enjoying it here! but there is always that nagging feeling in the back of my mind.

i have a theory… which is that decisions are still being finalized today… which would mean people would recieve letters tomorrow, or wednesday. or maybe even after the first – as long as the letter is postmarked on the 1st. this would explain the fact that some/alot of people haven’t heard yet. it also seems weird that some people have already been rejected but (supposedly) there are still some more acceptances being mailed out… and my theory on that is – not to insult anyone who has been rejected – that those that got rejections may have been the ones who the adcom knew pretty early on (for whatever reasons, ie: stats) they weren’t going to accept, whilst the ones who haven’t heard yet are the borderlines that are getting some last mintue examination before a decision is finalized… i mean you gotta think that when it gets down to the very end of the month that its going to take them a bit of time… after all they have to start making hard choices in order to stay within the 8,500 applicants that they are offering admission to. while i’m just hypothesizing, it seems to me that right now if you still haven’t heard you should still have some hope.
