Inspiration/Motivation

This is not just for myself, but for everyone who is feeling down after having been rejected at universities which they wanted to go to.

I've seen some of my classmates, with lower stats than me, who got in amazing schools while I got rejected at some of the top schools. Now, I now the college admissions process is a crapshoot, and universities conduct a holistic review, looking at all parts of the application. But it still hurts, just a bit, to go to a safety school while my classmates/friends go to top ranked, well known schools with lower stats than myself. These classmates/friends of mine, I should tell you, are heavy procrastinators and slackers; all they looked forward to was the college decision, and know they don't care about school since they know they're all set. I procrastinate at times too, but I've done rather well in comparison to them. It's just tough to keep going when you're wondering what is the point of working so hard, acing every exam, putting in all your effort, if it leads to this.

So, for those of you with some inspiration and motivation, please post! Anything, from advice, or stories, or messages, etc. is greatly appreciated!

Are all the people skinnier/richer/prettier/handsomer/funnier/smarter than you happy? No.

Don’t let it get to you. Stay strong.

I promise you, it’s all in the attitude.

Though I haven’t applied to college yet, I can promise you: if you put a smile on your face and go to your safety school with no bad expectations but with excitement and renewal, you will enjoy it. You will be happy.
