<p>by the way, i read somewhere that you will get decision by april 1st, is it??</p>
<p>I applied pre-april1 so I think ill be getting a decision soon ( they said people who applied before april 1st would hear back before the deadline for committing, so by may 1 st) but I think its super hard to get into. The website says there are around 40 INSPIREstudent at emory so I guess that means only like 10 will get in… It would be so great to get but I’m sure I wont get in haha</p>
<p>The INSPIRE program is extremely competitive. (At least it was last year.) But honestly, it’s just as easy to find research opportunities as a freshman even if you’re not inspire. So don’t worry about it at all if you don’t get in…I’m not exactly sure what the people who select the inspire students are looking for.</p>

<p>So, i got a letter today stating that i was a “persuasive applicant” but they are not able to offer me a spot :l
however, the letter was very sincere and appreciative that i applied. i was overall pleased at the tone of the letter despite being rejected. </p>
<p>it did say that my application was going to be reviewed again later in may because they are going to send out another batch of acceptances at that time. so i guess i was “deferred”.</p>
<p>oh well, im just excited to go to emory (:</p>
<p>Got deferred too, but it was a very courteous email. I won’t be pursuing Inspire further, since I’m headed to Duke in the fall. Congrats to those who did get it though, and good luck to those for the second round of acceptances.</p>
<p>well when i originally got the email, it said to be considered you had to email before april 1st. So probably like march 28 or so… good luck to everyone else i hope you get in too</p>
