Let's hear about people you know who were accepted to Harvard but rejected at a bunch of other schools. And I don't mean getting rejected from Y or P or Stanford, I mean getting rejected from a state school or Bucknell or Smith or Colgate or some random place and still ending up getting into Harvard.

^it gets you down at first thinking you’re worthless, but then you get this acceptance and realize you might have an ounce of worth in this world. Well, that’s how I’d feel :)

I know a girl who got rejected everywhere except Harvard and Swarthmore (she got a full ride to Swarthmore for like music or something) But, while the girl looked good on paper, I can’t imagine she interviewed well or had good teacher recs…she was literally socially ■■■■■■■■. When she went to Harvard everyone in my school was like WHATT, so I guess that is inspiring.

It actually really isn’t though because while she had a photographic memeory (and therefore had amazinggg grades etc) she once asked my friend if “all oceans are salty-or is it only the big ones?” and once tried to tell me Congress was in London, England…she has NO common sense hahahahaa

I know a guy, not really hooked. Got rejected from Rutgers, umich, Tufts (of course!), wustl, uchic, columbia, nyu, and got into Harvard with financial aid.
