instate chances ED?

I'm a Caucasian female living in Southwest VA..

UW GPA: 3.70
SAT: (first try)
CR: 580
W: 620
M: 690
= 1890/2400 or 1260/1600

SAT: (second try)
CR:640
W:610
M:720
=1970/2400 or 1313/1600

My school has a stricter grading scale than most, with the 94-100 range being an A, 93-87 being a B, and so on. Supposedly colleges know this. UVa seems to think highly of my school. This year, 8 got in ED and about 6 got in RD. For my upcoming senior year, I will be taking AP French, AP Calculus, AP Chem, AP English, and Dual Gov't (all of the APs offered). I also will be taking regular Physics and will be in my second year of Latin.

My ECs are decent. Key Club Secretary, Beta Club Secretary, French Club President, National French Honor Society, Magna Cum Laude on Nat'l Latin Exam, Senior Class Rep, 3 years of Varsity Cheerleading and Lacrosse, about 100 volunteer hours, as well as various other clubs (Science Club, German Club, etc).

I am in the top 10% of my class, and my rank is 10/~200. I defiantly plan to apply ED and then RD if I get deferred. What do you all think my chances are? Do you think I should take the SATs one more time to try to break 2000?

Your chances look pretty good, cheer. I live in northern VA, and at my school, those stats would be very competitive for UVA. I'd give you a 95+% shot...1360 SAT and top 5% would just about be an ********* from my school. Don't worry about the GPA - everything is relative, and class rank is an indication of how the grading scale works. The 94-100 grading scale isn't that unusual, btw; my school uses it too.
