Instate tuition-Masters

Help!

I'm from Washington State and I'm currently doing a year long internship in Florida. I would like to apply to graduate school in Florida (masters), and i want to take advantage of instate tuition if accepted for a grad program in FL for the 2012-2013 school year. The problem is that I would like to an internship for summer 2012 in another state, breaking "my year of state residency" so to speak. If I don't do a change of address, and continue to leave my permenant address as FL, will I still be able to do the internship (if accepted), and get in state tuition for grad school?

Hope that was clear.

Thanks!!!!

You need to check what the residency requirements are for your university. If you leave your permanent address in Florida, keep your voter registration/driver’s license/auto registration/etc. in Florida and file state taxes in Florida, that could be enough to retain residency. On the other hand, it may not. Calling the admissions office at the university should get you connected with someone who would know if you can retain resident status, and how.
