Instate Tuition

I got a letter in the mail from OSFA concerning the 2006-07 Estimated Financial Aid Award Letter, and I'm getting a bit scared at the numbers.

My COA came out to be $24,760 (engineering), with $13,524 for tuition and fees, which almost doubles from last year... I'm beginning to wonder if they made any mistakes.... any ideas?

idk but i just got my letter, and the tuition seems ridiculous! I applied under the impression that the base tuition was about $8,000. Quite the shock I recieved when my COA was about $22,000. Do you need financial need to get a work study program? I feel like i could really use one of those.

It looks like total costs are up about $5000 for Engineering. 2005-2006 base tuition was $8670 (in state) plus $3162 supplemental for College of Engineering, plus $950 books. Estimated room and board was $7176. Total was therefore $19,858. Next year's estimated mid-range room and board is only $7716 so it looks like most of the increase comes from tuition. Big jump indeed! Not such a bargain anymore.

leah0606, which college are u admitted to??

arts and sciences: tuition 10,000, living expenses 7,716 + all the other stuff = 21, 298. :-(
