<p>I heard that UChicago has plans to build this new Engineering Institute, and currently there is a Ph.D program...but does anyone know when the undergraduate program (major?) will be ready?</p>
<p>I couldn’t find a source for this, but I remember hearing during admit weekend that the major will first be offered to members of the class of 2017, and that the first classes in the major would be offered during their sophomore year (2014-2015).</p>
