Hi.

I've reached the stage, where I'm supposed to ask evaluations from my instructors. It's quite difficult since I'm in a huge school with big classes and naturally no one knows each other. OK, I'll manage to ask an evaluation from a professor that doesn't know me. How about if I'm applying for 6 schools, so I need 6 evaluation letters? Is it alright to make copies of the evaluations, or how does it work?

Thanks.

Bump, please can anyone help me? The same question about transcripts.

If the schools you’re applying to use the commonapp, there should be an option to send the form required directly to the instructor via email.

Thanks for your response but it doesn’t seem to work for transfer students. At least it shows in my commonapp profile that School Form’s are ‘offline’. Also, commonapp’s support center claims that ‘All transfer applicants must provide the paper forms to counselors and teachers since all school forms are done offline.’

It seems that paper is the only way to go for me. So, please-please, can anyone help me? Is it OK to make copies of the evaluations and then send the copies to the institutions? I can’t imagine how could I make a university professor fill in/write 6 evaluations.

I’m sure many of you’ve been there and done it, so please share your experience. The dates are getting closer and closer. :$

This is what I did, and it worked for me. I set up a meeting with each of my profs to ask for a LOR (after making sure they could write me one, of course). When I got to the meeting I explained that I was transferring. I handed the professor a folder with my resume, a list of deadlines, enough completed common app LOR forms for all my schools, and stamped and addressed envelopes for each school.

I also had the registrar send out my transcripts.

Good luck!
