Insufficient Credits on the Application, but I got 4s on 2 AP tests. What do I do?

I filled out application for UCSD and my community college counselor said I was fine to transfer, but the application told me I only have 58/60 required units. I've double triple checked that I put everything in. But I've passed both the Art History AP Exam and the APUSH exam. I put those under Test results, but it still only said I had 58 units. I sent the AP scores to my CC awhile ago. Should I send my transcript to the UC? Idk what to do!

How come no one knows?

relax, you can’t expect a response in 4 minutes. I would try calling UCSD about this.

Contact the schools. Worst case scenario you could take a 3 unit class that transfers.

^ i agree with thebigsh0w

im not surre, but i was under the impression that they didnt give you credit for art history…

^ yeah but she has 58 units anyway, the APUSH credit would bump her over 60, idk hwo many credits UCSD gives for APUSH, but i know UCB gives u 5.7 units, and I know that UCB gives credit for art history too, i think it was 2.7 credits for that.

I looked on a webpage that said Units for University Credit and it said 8 units for both exams. So 16 total. But that’s probably quarter units. 8 sounds like a lot…

different schools give different credits for different tests, were u looking at the right school?

Yeah, it was UCSD. But there’s 6 different colleges for UCSD. But I got the 8s from where it said Units by Exam which was before it listed all the colleges. Then below that each college said the Exam score fufilled different classes or was used for elective credit. It was different for each college.

yea its 8 quarter meaning 5.3 semester units

Hmm okay thanks. I still should call about the lack of credits on the application, but it sounds like a stupid question and I don’t want to bother anyone.

Its just a computer system it doesn’t know. As long as you applied for the SD colleges that accept IGETC you should be fine.

Okay I’m just nervous about it saying I don’t have enough credits on the App, because I didn’t see a place in the courses where I could put the AP exams, but now that I think about it, there wouldn’t be because those were courses and not exams. But on the state app there’s a place in the courses to put AP classes. I’m having trouble wording my worry right. Lol.

u should call just in case, it wont hurt, it can only help
