I am very interested to hear actual experiences with the Integrated Physiology BA degree. Apparently it’s a very popular degree at Boulder, but I am having difficulty getting specifics on how well students like the program. Thanks!!
DD had a good friend that did the IP program. She like it but it’s basically a premed program so you’ll need to go on to Med/PA/Nursing school as the degree itself doesn’t lend itself to doing much else.
@PetuniaRose1 Are you aiming at Medical school or PA school?
You could also get a masters in public health or become a physical therapist, after the integrative physiology BA degree. or possibly get a PhD in biology or physiology as well. So medical research scientist is another possible career path. The CU Boulder PhD program in integrative physiology is well ranked.
Also look at CU Boulder’s molecular and cellular biology programs –

CU Boulder has one of the better biochemistry programs in the nation-

The biochemistry building is only a few years old, and has fantastic labs.
Thanks. My DD is thinking of going on to nursing school (possibly at UC Denver?) after getting an IP BA degree at Boulder. I would be very interested to hear from any nursing students on whether the IP BA program was a good choice for this career path.
@PetuniaRose1 Most nursing students go to U of Northern Colorado Greeley as its ranked the best nursing school in Colorado

She could also apply straight away for UC Denver nursing, or she could transfer there, as Boulder does not train nurses. This is actually in Aurora, on the Medical campus, so don’t be confused by the “denver” designation.

The Integrated physiology degree, is a four year degree in Boulder and does
not include any clinical training. The IP bachelors degree in Boulder is set up for physical therapists who need a four year college degree first, or PA school applicants, or MD applicants, or masters of public health applicants.
Nursing students in Colorado go to Adams State U in Alamosa, UNC, or the Anshutz program at our medical school in Aurora. U of Wyoming in Laramie also offers a four year nursing degree, but the clinical are over in Cheyenne Wy.
