I was emailed inviting me to apply to the integrated science program. I was curious if this means anything in terms of admission to the university or if it is just sent to pretty much everyone. Thanks
I think the majority of applicants got that email (in fact here’s a earlier thread about that email from last week http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/northwestern-university/1735349-isp.html#latest), so it doesn’t mean anything in terms of admission. But if you are actually interested in science ISP is a great program you might want to look into if you get in. The only thing it might (and I say this very skeptically) indicate is that your test scores are in range for NU in science/math, if they only sent the email out to people above a certain math/science testing threshold from something like the ACTs/SATs. Yet alas, it really means nothing about what they think of your application-- for that you’ll have to wait for decisions to be released.
