hey guys, I need some feedback.. I just got rejected from the two only summer programs that i applied to... i was planning on attending them AND doing intel on the side, but now i cant.

should i stay home and work on my intel project and maybe get a part-time job or should i keep applying to summer programs?

I’ve heard from plenty of college counseling folks that the personal growth that one takes from a working summer job (particularly if you are working among adults) is highly valued by colleges. Being one more kid sent to pay-to-play summer program or taking more same-old, same-old school classes is not nearly as interesting.

If you can top off the personal growth of a summer $$job with intel research, you are in an excellent position.
