<p>Hi guys! I am one of the Puerto Rican finalists to the Intel ISEF Science Fair 2008 edition, to be held this May in Atlanta. I was wondering how helpful or impressive is to have this event in my list of extracurricular activities.</p>

<p>Lol, not really. But it definitely helps a LOT. Finalist at ISEF is extremely impressive and a great EC.</p>
<p>I think it will help, but it's probably not a huge hook or anything. I am a senior this year and have won a couple of Intel ISEF Grand Awards earlier in high school. I'll let you know if it helps in a week.</p>
<p>It's a very nice credential. How nice it is depends on the school. There are schools where that would probably be a true hook, and schools where it's a definite positive but not anything terribly unusual.</p>
