Intel ISEF

Does anyone know if we're allowed to mention the lab we worked at or our mentors' names in the acknowledgements?

P.S. It's for the paper, not the poster.

Personally I think you are suppose to not sure though…

There are several schools thought on this issue. At ISEF you can’t list acknowledgements on your board, however, some projects must display forms with the project that clearly list the mentor and the name of the Regulated Research Institution. Most state and regional fairs follow ISEF regulations so the reality is that judges will know what lab you worked in and who your mentor was. If that is the case then my thought is that there is no harm in listing the lab etc in your paper. Put your acknowledgments on a last or back page that can be easily pulled if necessary. Competitions like Siemens don’t want your lab or mentor listed. I assume that this is because they split your entry forms from your paper to avoid inadvertent bias. Good luck!!!
