<p>I am so happy that I was named a SF. Do we have to do anything extra to become a Finalist or do they just pick the 40 best projects? Also how much does this help your college admissions chances? Congrats to all!!</p>
<p>I do not understand what the heck Siemens or Intel looks for. I had a great project for both. Siemens liked it. Intel did not. I had the perfect essays, great rec letters, great credentials. What more they want? Go figure.</p>
<p>From my state, 5 made SF STS (me included.
3 made Siemens SF. One person (or was it 2?), as far as I know, made both. I didn’t have my paper in time for Siemens. >_<
But still, pretty strange contrast. You’d expect some more common ground.</p>

<p>Didn’t make it but I thought my application was pretty damn good like satacer. Similarly, I made Siemens Semis but not STS semi. Definitely disappointed.</p>
