Its not me, though I wish it were.</p>
<p>Intel will send you a certificate (several copies, actually) so you can send them to college. Lots of top schools also check the list themselves.</p>
<p>If you were accepted EA and/or are looking for merit money, be sure to let those folks know. The scholarships folks may not get word of things the admissions folks do.</p>
<p>Congrats to all -- I am so excited to see lots of people I know! :)</p>

Thanks for the advice. One of the scholarship aps is due tomorrow (Wash U), and he had already sent it off, so he emailed them right away. He does have several EA schools that he needs to notify asap. </p>

<p>i believe they announce finalist standing on Jan. 28, and they'll call you a few hours beforehand in order to prepare you for the press.</p>
<p>A nice lady from the Intel organization showed up and presented the three semifinalists at my school with a huge sized check and some balloons. Did anybody else get that by chance?</p>
<p>that makes no sense. Amber Hess became a finalist in 2005, and she got a check for $1000.</p>
