<p>So today I was telling my parents about how my best friend became an Intel Semi-finalist. Instead of being all happy and congratulatory they started yelling and criticizing me for taking a business internship over a science internship. Both my parents are science professors, so they expect me to go into that route, but that is not something I am interested in. All I am trying to say to parents is stop trying to compare your children to others or put so much pressure on them. It is really hard on us especially if we get rejected from our dream college, and you say those "what if...(you were the intel semifinalist)" statements. I feel horrible right now, and I can't even concentrate on my midterms</p>
