<p>Lauren, that is not the Stanford honor code. IMO the correct approach might be to write and post your essay and ask for feedback.</p>
<p>Ok, sorry about that. I certainly had no intent on copying ANY ideas whatsoever, I just wanted to know if the essay was supposed to be more analytical about the idea, or more about <em>why</em> you found it interesting. I'll edit my post.</p>
<p>I think you can interpret the question however you want...it's not like an AP Essay, where the readers are looking for "buzz words" like French Revolution, Locke, Montesque (spelling, I know), etc.</p>
<p>They just want to know who you are ;)</p>
