Intended major in math or finance; include photography portfolio?

Hello hello!

I'm a rising senior ambitious as the next, and also a sucker for all things math, science, social justice, and photography.

In brief, I'm applying to some most selective schools with my intended major being either mathematics or finance (LOVE both!), but I mention in my app (or rather app-to-be) photography as an EC. I also list a few photography awards. Taking pictures is probably one of my default ways to spend free time, and I think I'm fairly decent at it. Should I include a photography portfolio/ art supplement with my app? Will they be like, 'y'all can't take pictures lulz leave', or words to the effect? (Ie. if admissions dislikes my work, will they have a sour taste left in their mouths?)

Thanks in advance! :)

If you’re very very good, and you have a high level of formal instruction in photography, and if there is a professional photographer/teacher who has been working with you for a while (ideally throughout your high school career), and if that person can write a glowing recommendation for you discussing your training etc. then an arts supplement is the way to go.

Use Search feature, type ‘arts supplement’ and read past answers to similar questions.

most colleges tell applicants whether or not they should submit an art portfolio. check the admission websites at the schools you are considering.
