Intensive basic Spanish?

<p>Ds is thinking of taking this class. Any current students or parents have any thoughts? He didn't take Spanish in HS and is hoping to place out of the language requirement but just really wants to learn Spanish.</p>

<p>It’s basically what it says it is. It is a class that meets everyday and is 6 credits so you get a lot more experience speaking and learning the language and the class is designed for people who have zero spanish experience. This is important, because if he has no Spanish experience, he should take basic, as intro requires an elementary knowledge of the language. More important is the professor honestly though</p>

<p>He hasn’t taken any Spanish, but we live in Texas and just about everyone here picks up a little. He’s really motivated to learn it, and the professor gets a 4.9 out of 5 on ratemyprofessor.com. If this doesn’t work, you’re saying he shouldn’t take intro and instead take beginning? He’s not here or I’d have him pull up the schedule so I could see what the different options are …</p>
