<p>but don't colleges admit more people than they can hold anyway (because they assume not everyone will enroll)? what are the chances of them even needing the waitlist? for example, haverford's class size is about 300, and 3000 kids applied..</p>
<p>In recent years, Haverford has rarely gone to its waiting list to fill out a freshman class -- perhaps 1 to 3 students in each of the last three years.</p>
