Inter UC Transfer, chances?

I applied in the fall. I am an interUC transfer, from Santa Cruz. I applied to Berkeley and Davis, w/ a 3.6 GPA and good ECs.

But in my fall quarter this year, I took Ochem and got a C. It ended up bringing my other grades down to Bs. I still have a 3.37 GPA. How badly is this going to affect my chances? I have pretty much ruled out Berkeley, but do I atleast have a chance at Davis?

Thanks

I think you're in at Davis...

Match/ super close to Safety for Davis
Assuming you have a 3.6 GPA there, Reach for UCB

hey, its another one of us intercampus people!! welcome to the forums... anyways, i think berkeley is a major reach for you but you're basically in Davis. Sorry, but I think you dropped the ball this fall quarter as you're gpa dropped from a 3.6 to a 3.37 (cumulative?)... colleges like to see an updward trend, not a downward. You probably should have taken easier classes this fall as that is the last quarter the UC's see before transferring. Anyways, best of luck to you, I hope you get into wherever you want to go.

Shoe-in at Davis...

Cal is a reach for nearly all UC applicants.

I really should have taken easier classes, but I didnt want to fall behind, that was my biggest worry. Anyway, its good to know, atleast I can still count on DAvis.

3.37 is my current cumalative, not gpa for the quarter. gpa for the quarter is 2.5 ish.

I had 3.65ish, This last quarter, I took ochem, multivariable calc and bio at the same time, bad idea. 2 Bs and a C...

that was suicidal (at least in terms of getting to Cal)....or you had to be suicidal to get good grades...
