Inter-UC Transfer from Berkeley to UCLA/UCSD/UCI/UCR

Hi,

I have just finished my sophomore year at Cal, and I wanted to know how possible is a WINTER quarter inter-uc transfer to UCLA, UCSD, UCI, and/or UCR. I have completed all of the prereqs for any bio-related major, but I have not completed all of the GEs for Berkeley, and probably not completed all the GEs for the other UCs as well. How possible is a WINTER 2009 quarter transfer? How possible is a FALL 2009 quarter transfer?
(If anyone knows offhand: How possible is a Winter/Spring/Fall transfer to USC?)

I am planning to take time off at least from now until Dec (if I get winter quarter admission) to study and take the MCAT.

My Berkeley stats: 3.38 GPA (will that hurt me?)
I have 2 publications through my research at UCSF and Stanford.
Do they ask for SAT scores on the transfer app? 2360/2400

I just don't think Berkeley is the place for me and I would like to be in SoCal, closer to home. I am super worried that a Winter/Spring quarter transfer is impossible, and a Fall quarter transfer will be hard too because of the CC kids having priority.

Thanks a lot. I really appreciate your honest responses. I can give more info if needed.

anybody???

i really need advice here about whether to apply or not, meaning i would have to withdraw for a semester or more at berkeley...

help!!

I dont know anything about UC's, so I suggest you post the same topic under the UC subforum

i would suggest that you NOT transfer out of Berkeley, it is after all the best ranked state school in the nation. Give it more time and see if you like it. Your resumee will look much more prestigeous if you have a degree from Berkeley. You will probably have a better job and an overall better, and wealthier life.

^ lol....Supindy, no offense but i find your advice to be hilarious in so many ways..... Did you even bother reading the OP's post?
