Inter UC transfer

Does anyone know how hard it is to transfer from one UC to another. specifically, UCSC to berkeley?

I have a high 4.0 gpa now and will probably be have close to that at the end of 2 years. I am not really involved in any real ECs, I assume SAT scores aren't going to be considered. I am a biochem major.

what are my chances?

hmm...inter-UC transfer is extremely hard...but 4.0 should give you a boost...good luck

firstly, the admission spaces will be offered to CC students since the UC's are required to admit as many CC students as possible by law. If spaces are available, i think it goes out to the non-CC students. but a 4.0 GPA is a incredible GPA and it should give u a boost.

anyone w/ past experience? I know interUC has priority over other colleges but yah CC's come first.

for someone reason, when berkeley requested me to complete their midterm report on MyBerkeleyApp, why did it indicate a special course description from applicants from UCSC? I don't understand this. Is it only from engineering majors or is it from UCSC entirely?

not sure why they would ask that but I would guess it is in case you chose pass/fail option which is allowed for 30% of the coursework at UCSC. any courses you take at ucsc, comes with a grade and a narrative evaluation by the professor. Before it was entireley based on narrative evals, no letter grades given out but they recently changed that.. like 10 years ago or something. Still not completely sure why they would ask that.

oh...thanks
