this is a new thread for all our international buddies who are having a hard time studying in the college they are studying at present and want to transfer to another college or university for various reasons like financial aid problems, changing of major, social life, and other reasons..
what we could do at first is tell about ourselves that is (this is only if you like to share-your present college, high school stats, your college stats and the schools u r applying for transfer) and then discuss things. happy new year guys..

hi. i tried for the admission in Grinnell for fall 2007 with SAT score of 1750. but denied. And i'm again tring this time around too with college GPA of 3.00 with two calculus. Can any one say my chances.

My stats is below

Math 670
Verbal 470 ( yuck>>>>>>>>>>>>)
Writing 610
Essay 11
i've done the voluntering in the FPAN( Family Planning Association of NEpal) And studied Spanish in Bishow Bhasha for a semester and even that didn't helped.

ya should be a little realistic...you can try other options like marshall university, university of new orleans or caldwell college.. do apply to good school if u have a lot of money to pay for college.however,I am not discouraging u from applying to good skools....sometimes u could be the guy they r looking for...why dont u take the sat again?

i'm going to SAT again, may be in March. But i need full financial need meet, or atleast tution and other fees. I'm also considering one college in PA too, they need lower SAT score and award tuition fee.I know that 1750 is lower than most of the students in GRINNELL, BUT HAD DREAM TO go THERE For 3 YEARS NOW. And failed once, let see this time around. Any suggestion will be appriciated.

Please note that i'm a international student, i'll certinly score around 1900 this time around, not sure about 2100.Can u provide some colleges which can atleast waive my tution fees. HOpe some one will.

hey shiraj....1900 is not a bad score for grinell if u can pay 12-15k...but u can also come to a low profile college and transfer to another college better than the previous....u can take loans...that is if u have a cosigner.... but dont get struck unless u have a very good set of scores.
