can someone help me please - im an incoming UCLA freshman but i want to transfer to Berkeley since it has always been my first choice and UCLA doesn't have the major I want but Berkeley does (industrial engineering aka IEOR). i went on assist.org hoping to see the courses UCLA offers that are comparable to berkeleys requirement but only couldnt find it. seems like they only have information for community colleges. is there any other way or websites that i can see to figure out the transferrable courses and credits needed for intercampus transfer?? any information will be appreciation..THANKS!

Call Berkeley’s admission office and speak with a counselor. There are no set articulation agreements between UCs, so you need to call them and ask. You don’t want to simply look at assist.org and try and assume what’s transferable as you’ll likely end up wasting time taking units that won’t count. If you want certainty you have to go to the source, which is someone that works directly in admissions for Berkeley. Your situation is very specific and the majority of us are CC to UC transfers that have general knowledge about the transfer process. Your situatuion is so specific that I doubt many people here can help you. If you’re transferring from a four year you should be in consistent contact with admission so that you don’t have any problems with transferable units when you apply, which is likely the reason OOS and UC intertransfers have much lower admission rates.
