I've been looking at that the stats of the students that want to transfer, mostly from cc and their gpas are high. Do UC's look at CC students differently than UC students? For example: a CC student has a 3.8 and a UCSC student has a 3.3 and they both have the same amount of preq finish will the the CC student have a better chance of getting in because they have a higher gpa.

in my opinion, it's harder to get a high gpa in UC's than CC. I hope they take that in account...

All UC campuses must give first priority to applicants from the California Community College system. That being said, the CC student does have a better chance of being admitted only because they are given first priority. At UC Davis we will consider admitting UC to UC transfers at a slightly lower GPA than CC students (currently a 2.8 gpa is required of CC students); of course, only after all CC applicants have been given consideration.
