Interest In Johns Hopkins

Hi, i am an international student and i really LOVE Johns Hopkins University. I read on many posts that expressing interest in the university, by way of a call or email, will add positively. However, i called UMich once to genuinely ask them a question and they dint even ask me any details about my self. Not even a "What is your name?". So i was sort of confused. Anyways what can i do to express my intrest in Johns Hopkins, should i email an admissions officer or what? Please reply i really want to get in.

I don’t think JHU is one of those colleges that keep track of interest (I could be wrong though). Anyway if you are genuinely interested I’m pretty sure they can easily pick up on it through your essays and the rest of your application. I would recommend that you do not go off and do/post things just to make a college think you are interested, it will give off the impression of kissing up; and no one likes a suck up.

If you can afford it and you will be under age 16 next summer, go to CTY.

you called UMich? And yea, I’d e-mail admission officers and also professors related to an intended major. All your e-mails will both help you learn more about JHU and also show the school that you are serious about being interested.

I responded to your question here:

Once again, there is no need to double post your questions. If you post a question to the JHU Admission Officer’s Corner, there is no need to start a new discussion thread with the exact same question, and vice versa. This is the second time you have done that.

Sorry, wont happen again
