<p>Hi my name is Joseph Marcus and I am a rising Sophomore at WashU. I am posting here to let you guys know about a student group at WashU: Bear Buddies. Last year, 2008-2009, we welcomed 265 incoming students into the WashU culture before they arrived on campus by pairing them up with a student on campus with similar interests. The goal this year is to also introduce the WashU culture to interested students. If you are interested in applying to WashU, Bear Buddies will give you insight on what it means to be a student here and will give you a good idea if WashU is the right school for you.We are 100% independent from the Office of Admissions, so our mission is to inform rather than recruit.</p>
<p>What do I get by signing up?
You will get paired up with a current student with similar interests (both academically and extracurricular-ly). You will also get access to a database that will let you contact other current WashU students with other eclectic interests you may have. Also, since we operate over facebook, you will get a new facebook friend!</p>
