I'm sure I can't be the only one in this situation.

I would say I excel in photography and design....when I say design, I mean that I have a decent spacial sense and am able to picture things in my head. However, I in NO WAY excel in drawing (I suck, but I am doing some drawing in school). In the future I would like to be....a photojournalist, designing magazine layouts or something, working in radio maybe (idk, I love NPR), or something in Communications.

I'm looking at visual design programs but it's extremely hard. I don't want to go to an ART school, and be in an intense art program, but I would like to be in a design oriented program? I still want to get a really well rounded, liberal arts-ish education. What approach should I take? Will I have to build a portfolio if I do want to go into some aspect of visual arts? (ugh)

Thank you!

edit: uh oh I just realized I posted this post previously in the Visual Arts and Film Majors section...I thought it didn't work but it looks like it's showing up. Any way I can delete one of them? Sorry!
