Interested in WU, should I apply now? Please Help!

Well I've finished all my apps, but some of my good friends have told me I might like WU. I want to major in business, which WU does offer through Olin. I really don't know much about the school other than the students from my school who have gone really like it.

I've applied to:
Georgetown (deferred EA) (McDonough Business School)
Rice
Duke (first choice)
Penn (Wharton)
USC (Marshall)
Claremont Mckenna
Dartmouth
Stanford
University of Oregon (accepted and accepted to Honors college)

I'm going to research more about WU, but I'm wondering if it's worth it to apply now.

What do you all think? Should I apply, or just stick to my current list?
Also, is WU big on demonstrated interest? I know they waitlist a lot of people to keep their yield high.

Thank you!

Apply now.

It's worth it - I'm in the same boat as you! The great thing about the WashU application ist hat if you've already filled out the CommonApp, you don't need to write anymore essays. I'm applying right now and it took me about an hour to get everything together - and I just found out about the school. All I need to do is convince guidance to send a mid-year report (the deadline to send reports for January deadlines was December 6).

Hope this helps!

Do I have time to rush SAT and ACT score reports? Do they accept Jan testing?

Well I read they don't accept Jan testing, but do I have time to rush the SAT and ACT reports?

WashU is one of those schools that REALLY looks for interest in their school when you apply though, so keep that in mind.

yea, I just did some more research and they are BIG on demonstrated interest. I wouldn't be able to get an interview, etc. It'd also be too much of a pain, so I think I'm just going to stick with being done. I wish I had found out more about WUSTL before, because I would have loved to do business and taken some classes in aeronautical engineering. I'm happy with my list, and if I get rejected everywhere, I can always put WUSTL on my transfer to list.

That's a good attitude to take. You have a good list of schools ready and I'm sure you'll get into most of them. ;)

Wash U is very different from most of the schools you're applying to.

I am rushing my scores and doing everything I need to do. Where do you live? I can't see them penalizing you for not interviewing if you live far away, and also you do have time to rush all your scores. They never ask specifically if you're taken a campus tour or anything.. how would they know how interested you are? There are no supplemental essays to even talk about demonstrated interests, I don't think I understand what you guys mean when you say they are big on interest.

JackJackson, would you care to elaborate just out of curiosity? Are my other schools more east coast preppy I guess, and just completely different styles?
