Interesting Encounter at the Polls

When I was in line at my polling place today (in Illinois), I happened to be in front of an older gentleman who was an Auburn alum. We got to talking and he told me that he and his Auburn friends are pulling for the Tide, because they recognize that they stink this year and they want an SEC team to win the national championship. I was surprised, but maybe once you get north of the Mason Dixon line (or have a 2-7 record) the rivalry isn’t as fierce as it might otherwise be. So he said War Eagle and I said Roll Tide and we went on our respective ways.

And so it should be. Roll Tide!

Now this would have been an interesting encounter.

I am so glad that this was your encounter.

We were joking on another group that after the person wearing the MIT shirt was asked to leave the polls, how they might react to a BAMA shirt. We were daring 2 people to go into the polls one in each shirt.
