<p>Here is another interesting event that will be going on this evening:</p>

<p>The University of Alabama Honors College will sponsor a book signing by Honors College instructor and award-winning science fiction writer Andy Duncan.</p>

<p>The book signing and review for Duncan’s second collection of fiction, “The Pottawatomie Giant and Other Stories,” will be held Tuesday, Oct. 16, from 6-8 p.m. in 205 Gorgas. The event is open to the public.</p>

<p>D1 is taking his class this semester “Strange New Worlds: 21st Century Science Fiction” and is so excited that he’s visiting campus this week. She’d tried to get into this class for 5 semesters & finally made it :slight_smile: It’s done via videoconferencing so they haven’t “met” him yet, but the class plans on attending the book signing today, then class with him tomorrow & I hear there is a dinner planned as well.</p>
