Interesting Findings at Chicago Unifieds

halflokum - In I think in on of the CCM threads somebody mentioned coffee and donuts and I said “I’m gonna get me wanna them donuts” and then puma69 likes to tease me now about getting donuts so thats all now I try to slide in a donut reference where I can.

D is done! And now we wait. And get some other work done that has been neglected these past few months. :)

Is it any wonder MTMajorCook?..you made my day! Sending great vibes and cyber donuts.

WE ARE DONE! D finished audition #12 today, I feel an immense sense of relief. Still not enjoying the CCM wait, but still the best I’ve felt in months. D feels pretty good too but as we all know, we parents feel much more stress than these kids HAHA

Sleep well tonight on a job well done DoReMiMom. Congratulations to you and your fabulously talented daughter. It is done. I-)

Thanks puma69! PS - I bought a dozen donuts and ate 6 in one sitting…in our hotel room…alone! (And I enjoyed every second of it!)

You are my hero! YES! :-h

This thread is awesome. I particularly like the cyber donuts :)

DoReMi - atta girl. By the CCM audition I was ready to wash my donut down with a beer. Had I known I would’ve asked you to join me LOL

Puma - DoRiMi is built about perfectly I can’t imagine she eats 6 donuts on the regular and if she does I do not want to know :stuck_out_tongue:

My D did 7 auditions in Chicago. She feels she did her best and its now up do the directors. We have one more audition scheduled for Oklahoma City University on Saturday. We live in Texas so will drive to that one. Good luck to everyone’s talented children.
My D really enjoyed the audition process. I think she would audition for every school at Chicago Unifieds if she could. She loves to audition.

I was trying to imagine DoReMiMom putting away 6 donuts too! If you do this all the time, please keep that to yourself!

DoReMi… so now you love donuts, chug beer and look like Sophia Vergara…still my hero, in spite of yourself!

Speaking of donuts, we just discovered the made-to-order donuts at Beef & Brandy at breakfast this morning (just around the corner from the Palmer House). They were drizzled with caramel and chocolate and were absolutely delicious – and I don’t even like sweets! Wish we’d found them earlier. For next year’s crop of donut lovers, check them out! They’re not in all the menus, by the way. My D had an extra page in her menu and there they were. So if you don’t see them in your menu, just ask. They come out hot and crisp on the outside and light inside.

I saw that place and wondered what they had. That sounds srumptious and I’m not a huge sweets person either, but I do love caramel and chocolate. Best combo EVER!

AsstTotheMT…Be still my heart!

I have to add that the rest of the menu was just okay – it did the job for a reasonable breakfast but was nothing special. But the donuts… oh yeah.

At Elon for D’s audition (great school, beautiful campus, loves, loves the program) but the big news for me was the Krispy Creme store we ran into not too far from the school and the light was ON…you know what that means my CC donut aficionados, hot glazed donuts, yummmmm!
Not the best part of the audition experience but definitely one of the highlights!

Highlight! Highlight! Great Thai restaurant there, too! And super restaurant around the corner from the bookstore. We love Elon! Are you at The Acorn Inn? Lovely. BAL to daughter

Oh, yeah, cellomom, you’re in Krispy Kreme Kountry!!! LOL! Based right here in NC. I hope all went well!

I just went to Dunkin Donuts. They had about 3 near the Palmer house
