<p>This is just something going on in the McGill community right now that some of you might me interested to hear about, even though I seriously doubt that it affects anyone who's reading this.</p>
<p>As some of you might know, earlier this year the government proposed cuts of $103 million dollars from student bursuraries and such, which infuriated Quebec students. While Quebec tuition is some of the lowest in Canada, the taxes are quite high, so this will hit a lot of people hard.</p>
<p>Many protests have gone on about it, from rallies, marches, to releasing 103 rats inside the government office (I must admit I loved this prank), however as you'd expect, nothing's happened. </p>
<p>So now the students are taking even more drastic measures. I don't know if it's legal in the states, but in Canada it is legal for student unions to go out on strike. The CEGEPs were first, voting to go out and many of them still striking. Universit</p>
