Is this inspirational or crazy to you?

i'd say both.

How is that inspirational? So a father gets his 15-year old son to perform a Caesarean. When he's called out for violating his license, he...what? Accuses the medical association that they're just jealous of him? This is the most ridiculous thing I've read today.

if the son is able to perform the surgery successfully, i don't see anything wrong with it. Not many 15 year olds can do that !!!

^ Perform surgery without medical licensure? Nothing is wrong with that?

EDIT: Furthermore, the only reason the father "taught" this kid to do surgery is because he wanted the kid to be in the Guiness World Records. In my honest opinion, this guy doesn't deserve to be a doctor.

this is the limit.

i'm surprised there's all this trouble over the surgery. it's india after all...

it's probably guess the dad was stupid enough to send it in. I still can't believe he's unrepentant about it though; he still maintains it's so his son could get into the Guinness Book of Records.

Its crazy, he hasn't come out of medical school, he shouldn't be performing surgery, end of story.

he hasn't come out of HIGH SCHOOL.

i would agree with jonathan, however the fact that this happened in india makes me feel like this was okay. you know things like this are valued in india, imran. it's a matter of culture and pride...parents live through their kids' accomplishments. and let's not forget the dude in india with the longest nails in the world either.

^^ That's just unhygienic.

I know where you're coming from p reepa; I bet you the mother who was giving birth didn't have any qualms about it either, but I just get irked hearing this kind of thing. There just seems to be an excessive reverence with all these quacks and pseudo-"God men" or doctors in India. There's also that one kid who's like 11 and he's already like a consulting physician for some village in India. My parents defintly lived through my accomplishments as well, but even they were shocked at this. A lot of it has to do with social/economic structure too, so its not that surprising, I guess.

In southasian countries, things like this are very common especially in small villages.

hahaha thats so wrong LOL
