I heard that some subject tests are only released every 8 years or so because they are reused for 8 years in a row or so. Could this be possible?

I very much doubt it. If the same Subject Test was reused for 8 years, people retaking the same Subject Test would find the questions very familiar and would have posted such a discovery on these boards a while ago.

They may reuse certain questions, but it is very unlikely that they would use the exact same tests over and over

The tests are different every test date; however, some proportion of the questions are repeated from earlier tests (and it only makes sense that the repeated questions would come from tests at least a year old). This is done to standardize the difficulty of the test. Because there aren’t any equating (ungraded) sections as in the regular SAT, tests can’t be released very often, if at all.

Actually, College Board sometimes uses the SAME EXACT test on different test dates. I’ve heard that once, a Math I test was reused, and seven (yes, seven) people got an 800 on it. But that’s a VERY long story on what happened. In the end, College Board did an investigation of the matter, found out that SIX out of the seven actually had poor math grades, and cancelled test scores for that entire city…

I, personally, had a repeated Literature test. I did it in June '09 and Jan '10 (also did Literature on Dec. '09, but it wasn’t the same.) Same questions, same passages, and it wouldn’t be unlikely that the choices for the right answers were the same too. So yeah, it DOES happen.

it also happend with biology like 2-3 times. but it was like a year or 2 gaps

CB is a b1tch if that is true

Yep. They sure are…

Do they use AP exam MC sections to make the SAT II?

I mean, the AP exams seem to be made with quite a bit of effort, and for some reason to me it’d make sense of they took some questions from the respective AP exams.

Would this mean AP exam MC sections are useful for studying SAT II material?

The AP and SAT MC choice sections are assembled separately from different questions. Since the SAT deals with high school biology and the AP with college biology, the level of questions would be different.

Essay questions on the AP are designed for the AP and would not indicate what is on the SAT.
