Acts: just took
APs: 5 on AP Bio
5 on Ap World History

ECs: Pretty solid, some national/state stuff. community service ect... Nothing ridiculous</p>
<p>I'm very motivated and want to go to a top school. GPA is 4.0 this year now that I've decided that getting a good GPA is a good idea. </p>
<p>classes: AP AB Calc this year, rest are honors. Probably self studying for 1-3 APs.</p>
<p>Suggestions?</p>
<p>People would need some info on what region of the country you want, big or small, public or private, will you need FA, do you want greek life, do you want big sports, and any other preferences</p>
<p>Region: I’m pretty open, northeast, florida, and cali would be up there but I wouldn’t rule out other places</p>
<p>Size: again not a huge issue, I think I would prefer 6,000-12,000 but wouldn’t rule anyplace out</p>
<p>FA: dont need</p>
<p>Greek life: if its there great, if not, not a big deal</p>
<p>Big Sports: definite plus</p>
<p>I’m not very picky about the fit stuff. A school like USC that has a great social scene would be great but I mainly I want a school that is good academically and will prepare to get into a top 10 grad school.</p>
<p>Your scores should be good enough for Tufts but the grades could be an issue. Still definitely possible. Colgate would be a little easier to get into. It’s smaller (about 4000 undergrads, I think) but has fraternities, sports and excellent academics.</p>
<p>Your state flagship might be your best bet or an LAC ranked below 20. You’d make a good transfer candidate to a better school if ulu do well sr year of hs and freshmen yr of college.</p>

<p>Your GPA is going to be your downfall at top schools. What mid-tiers do you like? </p>
<p>Because of your GPA, you are going to have to apply to some matches and safeties that you LIKE…just in case.</p>
<p>What college sports do you like to watch. Some schools have teams, but have trouble getting fans to attend their games. Do you want the big rah rah “Pack the Stadiums” kind of school?</p>

<p>One semester’s 4.0 GPA will not have a great impact on 6 previous semesters of lowish GPA.</p>
<p>I want to get a liberal arts education but eventually go into business so my major would most likely be Economics, Finance, or a science like Biology.</p>
<p>Football is definitely my favorite. Basketball and lacrosse are good too. </p>
