Interesting UF graduation data.

Some of you may not know but in the USNWR rankings the 6 year graduation rate carries major scoring points.

Seems that is the main reason that Penn State has been able to stay just a head of UF in the rankuings as they seems to be able to crank out graduates at a crazy pace for a State University.

Anyhow, per this link:
The Education Trust - Closing the Achievement Gap

From the Educational Trust Fund who tracks graduation rates you can see that:
Females graduate at a 82% rate in 6 years at UF.
Males graduate at a 76% rate in 6 years at UF.

Could this be the reason that UF is 55% female / 45% male?
I know most schools try to keep their enrollment at 50/50.

It’s hard to say whether males are dropping out or are simply milking college for all it’s worth. Depending on this, the ratio would be affected one way or the other. I’m not surprised by those statistics though, guys tend to be a bit less studious.
