Interesting WSJ article

The Wall Street Journal now has a Saturday edition!
In yesterday's Journal, there was an interesting article, "Application Season, Beating College Stress".

Excerpt from the article:

"The school year is barely under way, but for many high-school seniors the pressure is already building. They're facing SAT retests in October, early-admission application deadlines in November and, in many families, battles with their parents over the high-stakes business of getting into college. The stress of college applications is now so well-documented that the dean of admissions at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology considers it a health risk for teenagers; she's meeting with a group of pediatricians to discuss ways of reducing kids' anxiety. Meanwhile, parents around the country are taking action to calm their kids -- and themselves."

I just e-mailed the article to you.

Carolyn, you are mentioned!

Tahoe,
Thank you so much for sending it to me. Yes, I'm mentioned but I was hoping they'd mention my blog as well. :( Oh well.

I was contacted by the author, but never got in touch. Would love to read what she wrote.

Thanks for posting this. Ellen PM'ed me also, but I was wary to speak with her.

Carolyn, what is your blog...maybe its mentioned here, but I am too lazy to go looko for it ;)

www.admissionsadvice.com --- hope the mods will forgive me just this once for mentioning it. :)

Folks, be careful about posting web site url dealing with college issues and admissions. The mods here view that as a violation of TOS policies. If I were you, I would just note the site and have folks search for the url.

I am not a subscriber to the newspaper. Could someone PM me the article or post it?

Did you not look below your knees?
