does anyone know when they send out the letter/post results online for interim decision?? thanks alot!

It's Feb 1

What if you applied using commonapp online and then mailed in the supplement? Can you still find out online.. how..?

Rice should send you a PIN number with a password. I'm not sure if that's just for applicants who apply using their application though. You should try calling Rice admissions on Monday and see how that goes.

sometime round 2/15 (my birthday!)

haha, I didn't apply early anywhere cuz I didn't want to get a reply back saying "NO" on my birthday (12/15), but I had other, more reasonable reasons too.. but yeah, hah.

i love the ed prograM! lolz

Aw, don't worry. It'll all be okay.

BTW--I have to ask--beastly of me, I know--but if your parents had let you know earlier could you have withdrawn that application ED?

hahaha. it's fine :) i dont think i could have withdrawn. so...yeap. i really did NOT expect to get into MIT...im still astonished! hehe

are you done applying, rheasilvia? if so/not, where?

I'm done applying; in at MIT EA, and applying to Rice ID, and Harvard, Yale, Caltech, and Johns Hopkins regular decision. Applied to absurd reaches this year because I'm a junior and thought it was a total crapshoot anyhow.

wow. you're a junior?! graduating early, no doubt. well, i bid you good luck!

if you mailed in everything, will you only get your admissions decision by mail?

BUUUUUMP. I would like to know the answer to that one as well.

(So far, I didn't get a PIN number...but I got the postcard back saying that they received it..)

The way they did it last year was all paper. It kinda sucked. You could go online with the PIN and check if the various components had arrived. But you could only find out about your decision when the envelopes came back.

Thought it was February 10? Could be wrong. Sigh, it's so long though!

On the paper app, it said we should be notified by feb 1

i didn't get a PIN either, same as sheflowers

chances of acceptance decrease from ED to regular
