I am trying to begin the application process for Interior Design Schools. I am a transfer student that hasn't studied art in college or high school and I don't have a portfolio to present to the admissions board.

I have found a program at NYSID in NYC through which I can spend a year building my portfolio while still earning credits towards my BFA. Is anyone aware of any other colleges that might offer a program similar to this one?

Secondly, if programs such as these aren't offered, where do I even begin to start building my portfolio on my own? I am in need of some guidance of where to start if you don't have a pre-built portfolio from high school or college?

Any advice you could provide regarding this or applying to design school in general would be greatly appreciated!
