Interlochen Arts Academy!

I just would like to see exactly who is going to attend IAA next year and what you are attending for:

Me: Creative Writing, sophmore and Canadian

What's the minimum age for the summer academy?

Junior Division programs are for students who have completed grade 3, 4, 5 or 6 during the 2005-06 academic year.

I went when I was 9.

Wow.

Did you board there?

no multiple summers, I know more than a few who were IAC[academy] students however.

Ahhh!! I should've applied.

I'll keep it in mind for next summer.

http://www.interlochen.org/camp/

actually openings are still available. You should look online and see.

I'm interesting in the Creative Writing camp. Unfortunately, it's full.

Should I look into the music camps? Are admissions competitive?

My daughter graduated from Interlochen (did junior and senior years there). Feel free to ask any questions. She is a vocal performance major at Rice (senior).

You guys should go if you get in. I went and it was amazing!

My daughter has applied to Interlochen and we are waiting to hear if she has been accepted. How long did it take to hear about acceptance? It has been three weeks since we turned in the application. She is applying for the visual arts program at Interlochen.

I went for 6 years when I was younger… how does IAA stack up against other prep schools like Kent?

My friend wants to apply here. He’s like obsessed with it now lol.

One of my daughters did the summer camp. The cabins were grim. Her cabin with fifteen campers had only one functional toilet and one working shower for the whole program. For two days, there was no functioning toilet and they had to visit another cabin or the nearby classroom building to use the restroom.
She liked her classes, but refused to even consider returning.
